Danger level 2 (Moderate danger)

Effects:

Risk of circulatory complaints, physical discomfort

Behaviour:

Protect yourself from exposure to sunlight, avoid physical effort if possible and make sure you drink enough fluid.

Description of measured and forecasted values:

Daily mean temperature ≥ 25 °C for one or two consecutive days.

Danger level 3 (Considerable danger)

Effects:

Risk of circulatory complaints, physical discomfort

Behaviour:

Protect yourself from exposure to sunlight, avoid physical effort if possible and make sure you drink enough fluid.

Description of measured and forecasted values:

Daily mean temperature ≥ 25 °C for at least three consecutive days.

Danger level 4 (High danger)

Effects:

Increased risk for circulatory complaints, physical discomfort

Behaviour:

Protect yourself from exposure to sunlight, avoid physical effort if possible and make sure you drink enough fluid.

Description of measured and forecasted values:

Daily mean temperature ≥ 27 °C for at least three consecutive days.

Danger level 5 (Very high danger)

Heat warnings are only issued for levels 2, 3 and 4.

No danger level

Heat warnings are issued only in the summer half year.
